SELECTION CRITERIA
Applicants for the DMC-UL Cytotechnology Program are evaluated based on the following factors:
- Completion of pre-requisites (applicants will not be considered if all pre-requisites are not met)
- Affiliation with Wayne State University or Oakland University – students from are given preference due to prior affiliation agreements
- Transcript evaluation
- Overall GPA – minimum 2.5 required
- Science GPA – minimum 3.0 preferred
- Completion of sciences courses (histology, anatomy and physiology, cell biology are strongly recommended)
- Date of graduation (post baccalaureate applicants)

- Previous work experience (experience in a health care related profession preferred)
- Letter of interest
- Strength of recommendations
- Results of interview
