Certification

The certification agency for cytotechnologists is the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Registry. The eligibility requirements for this certification exam are (1) a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university AND (2) successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP accredited Cytotechnology program within the last 5 years. Upon completion of DMC-UL Cytotechnology Program, graduates are eligible to take the ASCP Board of Registry certification exam.
